We chose the Spanish Tapas Restaurant because of it's capability to cater for large crowds. Here, we had a reunion of 20 from Strathfield Girls High School, class of 2001. I hadn't seen most of these girls since 2001! The staff were really helpful and ensured that we had a variety of tapas and paella. The atmosphere is rich and lively. We also got to enjoy a performance by the flamenco dancers!
Hanabi at Lidcombe is the sister restaurant to its city (cnr Pitt St & Liverpool St) establishment. While the condiments are quite enjoyable, I found that the hot pot was a great disappointment. Strangely it featured a mixture of ordinary sausages and fresh vegetables with instant ramen.
Tomodachi to me, means a quick Japanese/Korean lunch or dinner after work. It is often our adventure on a Friday lunch (we all crave the tempura and love the satisfying serving sizes). Situated in the Broadway Shopping Centre means plentiful parking, and quick food. I love it -what's better than a bare 5 - 10 minute waiting time?
On arrival, we're served complimentary Pea Soup, which had a lovely hint of Saffron. All entree's are $18 (We tried the Tasting Selection, which was $36), main's are all $19.50 and desserts are all $14. The brulee is the best I have ever tasted! This is definately one of my favourite restaurants. It is great value for money, and I want to try almost everything on the menu.
